Summer 1947

By the time World War II was over, the Summer 1947 service was much reduced with just three trains in either direction and third class only seating. The 3:38pm arrival into Pickering would have formed the train to Helmsley, which took school children home. It would have then returned to Pickering to form the 5:10pm to Scarborough.
