G5 No.67273 at Pickering on 1st August 1949

Less than a year before closure, the locomotive which pushed the last passenger train along the Forge Valley Line has just taken on water at the north end of Pickering Station having brought in the 2.50pm from Scarborough on 1st August 1949.
