Gallows Hill Bridge

The Forge Valley Line crossed the path of the Pickering to Scarborough main road, now the A170 only twice. The first crossing heading east, was at Gallows Hill, between Sawdon Station and Ruston village where the road passed above the railway.

Gallows Hill bridge was demolished shortly after closure to allow for better visibility on the road.
